2016.10.12 - Galley Hinges

The hinges for the galley lockers arrived this morning, so I thought I'd quickly put them in before starting work on completing the cockpit seat. After all, it was just four hinges, a quick and easy job, right?

Wrong!

I forgot a few things and had to unscrew a lot of the galley in order to cut away parts to allow room for the additional thickness of the lid where the screws go. Oh well.

Still, the are done now and work.

Ready to be sanded and varnished. After I've taken it apart and sealed various bits, that is.

You can see the additional part to the locker lid in this photo and just about see where the side part had to be cut away. The same thing had to be done on the other locker.

I did get some work done on the cockpit seat, just not as much as I had expected. Tomorrow is shopping night so I don't expect to get much done then either.
