2016.10.25 - Stowage Completed
A short piece of work today since the task was to finish the starboard side stowage and I had all the necessary templates from the port side. They needed a little adjustment but on the whole they were a good fit.
The remaining stowage ready for installation. Looks a lot like the other one!
And there we are, job done.
So, apart from the possible installation of the heater, this completes the major construction of the interior of the boat. The anchor locker has to go in but that doesn't need any fixing, it just wedges in front of the Samson post. There is also the compression post under the mast but that cannot be put in until the cabin roof, or coach roof, is finished.
So what next?
If I go for the charcoal heater then it would be a good idea to install it before the cabin roof goes on for two reasons. Firstly the access gets limited once the roof is on and secondly so does the lighting. On the other hand, it's a lot of money that I don't have right now but will have in a month or two and I'd like the cabin top to on before the end of November.
I think I can get started on laminating the roof beams and constructing the framing for for the cabin since even with those in place I have access and lighting and the laminating needs to be done before the temperature drops too low for the epoxy.
