2016.12.25 - Christmas Day Epoxy Work
As I mentioned in yesterday's post, the task for today was the glueing of the rubbing strakes to the gunwales. This went very well, the piping bags were indispensable as was the notched spreader I made from a piece of flexible plastic taken from a ice cream tub with notches made by using a hole punch. The task from start to finish took slightly over four hours but no mistakes were made in the process. I did need assistance from Tina in order to make this a stress free job.
Both pieces of the rubbing strakes port and starboard were glued in place, the front sections will need further work once the epoxy has cured.
The port side.
