2016.12.27 - Hatch Work continued

Had a bit of a late start this morning, we had a friend call round on his way to Great Yarmouth and we had an early coffee break as a result. The first job of the day boat-wise was to cut, fit and glue the top of the main hatch. this required the inevitable template.

The template for the top made from thin plywood with modifications in think card and hot glue.

The trial top now glue in place with a fillet on two of the inside corners. The other two will be done once the cramps are removed as there is a piece of wood restricting access to which the cramps are clamped.

And the view from the top.

Small enough to be brought inside so that the epoxy cures ready for tomorrow when the remaining two fillets will be added as well as some filling of a few gaps since the top is not an exact fit.

Now it's time for lunch.
