More epoxy work, despite the heat. The inside of the repairs got covered in epoxy and one of the ribs was glued in to place. What a hard job that turned out to be!
Here the veneers for the rib are put into place to check for fit. I found that I’d cut them all slightly too short. I’ve no idea how that happened but as it turns out, it’s not a big problem since the rib is mostly for attaching things and not for structural integrity.
Here the rib is glued up and setting. I had to use two bracers to hold the rib down as the upward force of the rib was too much for the staples. I’m not too sure how I’ll manage that on the other ribs, there’s nothing to brace against. You can just see the gap at the end of the rib next to the centreboard case due to my mis-measurement. I’ll fill that with thickened epoxy.
